MS Subbalakshmi Life story

MS subbulakshmi Birth:

MS subbulakshmi was born in a devadasi musical family, on 16th september1916.
Her parents were Kunjamma and shanmukavadivu. Her father was a famous veena vidwan. She was born in a Maduarai in tamilnadu state of south India. When MS subbalakshmi was in early age, started learning carnatic music.


MS Subbalakshmi Personal life:

MS subbulakshmi was met T.Sadasivam in 1936. He was a freedom fighter. Sadasivam already got married before relationship with MS subbulakshmi. After death of his first wife in 1940, he was married MS subbulakshmi. After their marriage sadasivam plays a key role in her career. They don’t have children’s, but sadasivam had children’s from his first marriage. They were Radha, Vijaya. Her husband was died in 1997. After that she was stopped all public performances.

MS subbulaksmi career:

MS subbulakshmi was gave her first public performance at the age of eight, During the Mahamaham festival in Kumbakonam, tamilnadu. When she was at age of ten, released her first recording. MS subbulakshmi was started learning carnatic classical music under Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer and also learnt Hindustani classical music under Pandit Narayan Rao Vyas. At the age of 17 subbalxmi she was gave public performance on her own at the Madras Music Academy. At that time crantic music, traditionally
reserved for men. She was performed a variety of musical forms in different languages in Tamil, Telugu, Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi.
MS subbalkshmi was gave stage shows in different countries all over the world, like London, New York, Canada, the Far East and other places. subbulakshmi major performances are Carnegie Hall, New York, the UN General Assembly on UN day in 1966; the Royal Albert Hall, London in 1982; and at the Festival of India in Moscow in 1987. M.S.Subbulakshmi died on December 11, 2004, due to pneumonia and cardiac irregularities


Films:

MS subbulakshmi was acted in a few Tamil movies, when she was in young. Her first movie was released in 1938, named as “Sevasadanam”. She was plays different roles and also showed performance in male role of Narada in the movie “Savitri”. This film released in 1941. She plays title role in the film Meera and she sing the famous Meera bhajans with music director DilipKumar Roy. After that she quits the films and continuing public performances.


MS Subbalakshmi Awards and Achievements:

MS subbulakshmi was received many awards and honours. She was honored with padma bhushan award in 1954. She was achieved awards like Sangget Natak Academy in 1956 and Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1968(she was the first women for this award). And she was got Ramon Magsaysay award in 1974, the Padma Vibhushan in 1975, the Kalidas Samman in 1988, the Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration in 1990, and the Bharat Ratna in 1998. She was honored as a singer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

MS Subbalakshmi called with different names like Tapaswini, Suswaralakshmi and Aathuvaan Sur.

Indira Gandhi was one of the most successful women in India in 20th century. She was a successful women prime minister in India. She was a freedom fighter. She was a daughter of Indian former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Indira Gandhi Birth:

Indira Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917 to pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and kamala Nehru. Indira was only one child in her family. Indira was born at the moment of Indian freedom movement. Indira father Jawaharlal Nehru and her grandfather motilal Nehru were participated in Indian freedom struggle. Indira Gandhi had a lonely childhood.



Indira Gandhi Education:

Indira Gandhi parents were not interested to send her British schools in India.
Indira Gandhi education took place in non-British schools in India and Europe. At the age of 18, she was attended famous Indian and European schools like santiniketan, badminton school and oxford. But Indira was not showed good aptitude for academics and was detained from obtaining a degree. While indira studying at university of Cambridge, during 1930s she became a member of the radical pro-independence London based Indian league.
Indira Gandhi Personal life:

When indira was in Europe, she met a Parsi, Feroze Gandhi. He was a congress activist. Indira was married him on 16th march 1942 at Allahabad. This marriage was opposed by Hindus because of intercommunal love marriage. Indira Gandhi was gave birth to Rajiv Gandhi and sanjay Gandhi. Shortly after their marriage both indira Gandhi and feroze Gandhi were arrested by British police and jailed for national activities. After one year they were released. After that Feroze Gandhi joined in the national herald newspaper company as a editor, founded by Jawaharlal Nehru. And indira Gandhi became principal assistant of her father during the period of Nehru prime minister. After the couple were separated for a number of years.


Indira Gandhi political life:

Indira Gandhi became the president of the Indian national congress in 1964 and she was elected to the parliament. At that time indira father was died. After the death of her father she became a minister in lal bahadur shastri government. Lal bahadur shastri ultimately death in 1966 and indira was selected as a prime minister. In her initial days of prime minister she faces so many problems. She was successful to rectify the problems.


Indira Gandhi assassination:
Indira Gandhi had numerous bodyguards, two of them were satwant Singh and beant Singh both Sikhs. On 31st October 1984 they assassinated indira Gandhi with their service weapons in the garden of the prime minister residence. Indira died on her way to the hospital.
After Indira Gandhi's death, Rajiv Gandhi became Prime Minister in May 1991.
